This is Glasgows centre of live Traditional Folk music, World Music, Jazz,
Jug, Country and Bluegrass - in the heart of old Glasgow,and part of the Merchant
City.
Lauries has been the originator and the mainstay of the Celtic Connections fringe, a strong supporter of Folk Festivals and Traditional Music, and the new home of the former Riverside Club Ceilidh, still run by Mary Laurie.

Laurie, the Proprietor, is a well-known Scottish Traditional singer
with strong Folk Music links, who has hosted many successful Charity events.
Cy is committed to Acoustic Music, whether it be Folk song, Jazz or Bluegrass.

afternoon is a major feature.
Another regular attraction for Glasgow folk is Mondays Open Mic night with Bernadette Collier. At Lauries, you will receive a friendly welcome from owners Cy and Mary Laurie, and manageress Pat Murray.
Every Monday, Bernadette Collier hosts the Open Mic Night!
Every Saturday (8pm) there's a Ceilidh in the bar. FREE, with LIVE MUSIC!

A special night on SaturdaY 4th July, 8pm - a Tribute for Willie Beaton, singer and fiddler who died in January. Featuring Adam mcNaughtan and Rod Paterson among others, this will benefit THE HIGHLAND HOSPICE, who helped look after Willie.
